BUS DRIVER

5 hours per day – 2.5 hours AM and 2.5 hrs PM. This position is a 9 month position.  (171 Contracted Days). Hourly pay: $24.79/hour.

FULL TIME ASSISTANT COOK

A candidate should be able to:

  1. Prepare food for the day as established by the supervisor.

  2. Prepare fruits, vegetables, salads, and other prep work as directed by the supervisor.

  3. Clean counters, stoves, equipment and cooler when necessary, as directed by the Head Cook. 

  4. Assist with washing breakfast dishes.

  5. Check supplies for day's menu and bring up supplies for that day and following day's menu in cooperation with Head Cook.

 6.  Maintain freezer, cooler and dry storage areas, rotating stock, dating items and temping deliveries, keeping to State Health Department codes in cooperation with the Head Cook.

 7. Serve students as they progress through the serving line, using current state department guidelines. 

 8. Work in cooperation with the baker to clean at the end of each shift - sweeping, sanitizing, mopping, cleaning equipment, etc.

 9. Assistant cook will run a la carte or wash dishes in the event of absence when no sub can be found.
10. Other related tasks as assigned by Head Cook.

 

Non-exempt Position

Monday-Friday, 8AM-1:30PM

Hourly pay: $17.33

Benefits:

  • 403 (b) Plan Matching contribution of $100 per month after 1 year of service

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

Nevis Public Schools will have opportunities for substitute teachers during the school year.  The rate of pay is $165 per day, $82.50 for a half day.   Candidates must have either a teacher's license or a short call  substitute teacher's license.  

Eligibility for a Short Call License

The following individuals are eligible to apply for a short-call substitute license:

  • individuals who hold a Bachelor's degree or higher
  • individuals who hold an associate's degree in any field, or
  • educational support professionals (paraprofessionals) that hold a high school diploma, or equivalent, and have worked for at least one year for the hiring Minnesota public school district.

SUBSTITUTE BUS DRIVER

Nevis Public Schools will have opportunities for substitute bus drivers during the school year.  The rate of  pay is $24.79 per hour. Driver's must have a school bus endorsement.    Drivers that achieve 38 days of driving during the school year will receive a $500 stipend  at the end of the school year. Nevis Public School will train you for your school bus endorsement. The rate for training pay is $15.00 per hour.

SUBSTITUTE  PARAPROFESSIONAL

Nevis Public Schools will have opportunities for substitute para's during the school year.  The rate of pay is $18.94 per hour.  To be a qualified substitute para you must have one of the following:

60 or more post secondary credits

At least a 2 year post secondary degree

Pass a Para Pro test

 SUBSTITUTE KITCHEN STAFF

Nevis Public Schools will have opportunities for substitute kitchen staff during the school year.  The rate of pay is $17.33 per hour.

    SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIAL STAFF

Nevis Public Schools will have opportunities for substitute custodial staff during the school year.  The rate of pay is $18.94 per hour.

SUBSTITUTE NURSE (RN, LPN or CMA)

Nevis Public Schools will have opportunities for substitute nursing staff during the school year.  The rate of pay is $20.00 per hour.
